Two Jewish girls of this city, Miss Ellen Ballon and Miss Elizabeth Louise de Sola, are among those who will be presented to their Majesties King George and Queen Mary at the Court to be held on June 24.
Miss Ballon is a well-known pianist, who now makes her home in New York. Miss de Sola is the daughter of the late Rev. Meldola de Sola of this city.
ORDER SONS OF ZION OPENS CONVENTION TODAY
The eighteenth convention of Order Sons of Zion. a Zionist Fraternal Organization with branches throughout the country opens its sessions at the New Winthrop Hotel in Asbury Park. N. J., on Sunday morning, June 19. and will continue in session until Monday night.
Over two hundred and fifty delegates are expected.
Professor Adolph Goldsemidt, of the University of Berlin, has been appointed lecturer on fine arts and the history of German culture and will be the first visiting lecturer under the new Harvard Germanie Museum lectureship made possible by William P. Ahuelh, of New York City.
