Canadian Jewish officials are praising a recent report from the United Church of Canada calling upon the church’s members to halt attempts to convert Jews to Christianity. The report, “Bearing Faithful Witness: United Church-Jewish Relations Today,” also asks church members to recognize that Christianity is neither superior to nor a replacement for Judaism. The report must still be officially approved by the church.
