A protest by the National Joint Public Relations Committee of the Canadian Jewish Congress and the B’nai B’rith against a discriminatory advertisement in the Canadian Medical Association Journal has brought an apology from the publication, the Jewish organization revealed here today.
The NJPRC protested to the medical association against an advertisement which specified that “Protestants only apply.” In reply, the editor of the journal explained that such advertisements are usually rejected but that owing to a “dislocation” of office staff the advertisement was inadvertently published.
