The National Executive Committee of the Canadian Jewish Congress has assailed Dr. Nahum Goldmann, honorary president of the World Jewish Congress, for two articles by him in the German publication, Die Zeit and expressed great concern “with a number of statements he made, lending aid and comfort to those who take a negative view of Jews and play down the horrors of the Holocaust.” The blast against Goldmann was contained in a resolution adopted by the Congress’ committee at its meeting in Montreal last Sunday.
The resolution stated: “Especially do we object to Dr. Goldmann’s pronouncement that the Holocaust Is an example of something good coming out of something evil, the good being the creation of the State.
