The annual convention of the Ontario Zionist region, with approximately 600 delegates attending, approved a resolution urging Premier Churchill to see that an integral and essential part of the allied peace aims includes the creation of a Jewish state in Palestine.
“It must be a state capable of housing millions of homeless European Jews, a state in which the extinguished spiritual light of erstwhile proud Jewish communities can once more be rekindled and serve as a beacon for all Jewry” reads the resolution. The establishment of a Jewish army also was advocated in another resolution adopted.
