Both major American parties have pledged renewed efforts to bring about Arab-Israel peace negotiations, and “the American policy vis-a-vis the Middle East. is, therefore, not a controversial issue,” I. L. Kennen, of the America-Israel Public Affairs Committee, declared here today.
“Whatever Administration is elected,” Mr. Kennen said, addressing the closing session of the 35th convention of the Zionist Organization of Canada,” will exercise renewed initiative for the settlement of the Israeli-Arab differences.”
A resolution urging the Canadian Government to “take the leadership in the search for peace in the Middle East” was voted by the convention. (See related story. Page 3.)
