More than 300 cantors, music directors, rabbis and lay leaders from all parts of the country are attending the sixth annual conference of the Cantors Assembly of American which opened at the Concord Hotel here today.
The conference, which will last till Friday, will discuss cantorial problems and will devote a special session to a discussion on the needs and influence of the cantor. Scholarly papers will be presented on cantorial studies and a report will be submitted of the first year’s activities of the Cantors institute of the Jewish Theological Seminary of American.
