One of the eight days set aside by the Catholic church for church unity was dedicated to prayer for the conversion of Jews to Catholicism. January 24 was the day when services were held in the Catholic churches for this purpose.

Dom Gariador, Abbot of Subiaco, celebrated high mass for “the return of God’s chosen people to the fold.” Father Donati preached on the “Conversion of Israel.” A committee of the society, Friends of Israel, attended both services.
