A resolution adopted here last night by the board of directors of a Catholic national organization denounced as “morally wrong” all discriminations because of race or religion practiced by clubs or fraternities.
The board, representing the National Catholic Conference for Interracial Justice, declared that no ethical grounds exist for the exclusion from membership of any citizens on the ground of race or religion. Americans, stated the board, are embarrassed at segregation and discriminations, showing “increasing moral sensitivity” to this problem.
