“Wolna Polska,” organ of the League of Polish Patriots in the Soviet Union, reports that a number of Catholic priests in various Polish cities have been arrested for supplying Jews with documents to assist their evasion of the Gestapo.
Several priests from Lodz are among those arrested, the report adds, naming Father Ulatowski as one who was sent to a concentration camp for saving a Jewish woman by providing her with necessary identification papers.
