The convention of the Central Conference of American Rabbis will be held in Detroit, Mich., June 26 to July 1, Dr. H. G. Enelow, president, announced. The Executive Board will meet June 25. Sessions will be held at the Hotel Statler.
Papers on the forty years’ history of the C. C. A. R. and its future prospects will be read. There will also be papers on Moses Mendelssohn and Lessing, in honor of the bi-centenary of their birth. A religious education day program will be devoted to a survey of the religious schools in American Jewish Reform congregations during the past four decades, with an appraisal of their present work and worth.
There will also be a paper on recent excavations in Palestine. The Friday evening lecture will be given by Dr. Samuel Goldenson, while the sermon on Saturday morning will be preached by Dr. David Philipson, who took part in the meeting at which the C. C. A. A. was organized in Detroit forty years ago.
