Chabad-Lubavitch will open outreach centers at nine more college campuses next term. The new centers will be at the University of Illinois at Chicago; Santa Monica College in California; Reed College in Portland, Ore.; Texas A&M University; West Virginia University; Temple University; the College of New Jersey, Union College in Schenectady, N.Y.; and the University of Leeds in England. The centers will be financed with a $1.8 million grant paid over three years by the Rohr Family Foundation. They will give Chabad a full-time presence at 130 colleges worldwide, 102 of them in the United States. Chabad made the announcement at its annual conference of college emissaries.
