Chanukah celebrations were held in a number of synagogues in Bucharest, Rumania, this past week, according to reports received here today. At the Baron de Hirsch Synagogue, pupils of the congregation’s Hebrew school attended a lecture on the meaning of the festival, delivered by Rumania’s Chief Rabbi, Dr. Moses Rosen.
