A strong protest against the limitation of Jewish immigration into Palestine was adopted here at a meeting of considerable group of Chaluzim, who are unable to concede owing to the fact that their passports have not been visad.
The resolution is drafted in sharp terms, protesting strongly against the closing of the doors of Palestine and barring from the country the Jews who are striving to up build their country by the sweat of their brow. This is not only a violation of the Balfour Declaration, but a disregard for the elementary principles of justice. The resolution asserts that nnemployment does not warrent closing of the doors too the country because the workers create new openings in the country. The resolution further protests against the attitude of the Palestinian administration towards immigration and states that the present policy of the administration shows inconsideration for the feelings of the Jewish people and is an insult to the Jewish masses. It appeals for the opening of the doors of Erez Israel. It asks for the “commencement of free immigration to those whose aim is to devote their entire strength for the reconstruction of the Jewish national home.”
