The Immigration Department of the Zionist Organization announces that it has concluded an agreement with the Roumanian Government whereby the bulk of the Jewish immigration to Palestine will be directed through Roumania. Use of the Galatz port will result in considerable reduction in the cost of travel, it is stated. Galatz has always been a favorite with Palestine travelers, most of the “Bilu” in 1880 having passed through that port on their way from Russia to Palestine.
