A major shift in the composition of the Israeli Mission to the United Nations is about to take place, the JTA learned today from reliable sources. Apart from Ambassador Yosef Tekoah’s pending departure in the spring, to assume his new post as head of the Ben Gurion University in Beersheba, four other top members of the Israeli Mission will end their service and be replaced by new appointees.

The four are: Ambassador Jacob Doron, Deputy Permanent Representative; Ambassador Jacob Barmore; Counsellor Israel Eliashiv; and Yaakov Morris, Press Attache and spokesman for the Mission. The five have each served a number of years with the Mission and leave on the basis of rotation. They will reportedly be reassigned to new posts with the Israeli Foreign Office. (By Yitzhak Rabi)
