Vigorous anti-Semitic agitation is being conducted among the peasantry in connection with the forthcoming parliamentary elections, the Haintige Najs, Warsaw Yiddish paper reports. The paper quotes an election brochure which says that the chief occupation of the Jews is “trade and spying for the Bolsheviks and forging money.” The brochure is entitled “The Money Purse and Judas Iscariot.”
Other reports of anti-Semitism appear in the Posen Courier. The paper charges that Archbishop Twardovski has prohibited Father Szdelski of Lemberg from standing as a candidate on the government ticket because the ticket also contains Jewish names.
