Charges Against German Jewish Banker Dropped

The charges against Walter Loeb, president of the Thuringian State Bank, were dropped by a decision of the authorities.

A trial in the criminal court against Herr Loeb was begun four years ago at the instigation of the leaders of the anti-Semitic Voelkische party, under the leadership of the notorious German anti-Semite, Arthur Dinter.

IMMIGRANT AID CONTEST OPEN TO NON-JEWISH WOMEN

The Annual Prize Essay Contest of the Department of Immigrant Aid and Immigrant Education, of the National Council of Jewish Women, has been opened this year to the participation of non-Jewish, as well as Jewish, foreign-born women.

The subjects chosen for this year’s contest are “English Books I Have Read and Enjoyed”, “Present Day Americans I Admire”, and “How American Institutions Have Been Helpful to Me and to My Family”. The contest will close on July 1.
