The men’s clothing and furnishings division of the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities has raised approximately $5,000, half its quota in the Federation’s current $500,000 campaign, If was announced last night following a dinner meeting of the men’s and boys’ wear buyers’ group of the division.
More than $1,000 was raised at the gathering, which was attended by members of the trade from Manhattan, Brooklyn, Philadelphia and Boston. Sol Feldman, chairman of the unit, presided Speeches were made by Supreme Court Justice Mitchell May, president of the Federation; Maxwell W. Schneider, member of the executive board of the group, and Mr. Feldman.
The group committee includes Sol Feldman, Alex Reispiel, Edward Bromberg, Joseph Ellner; Jack Gross, Julian Fleischman, Sol Stuman, Louis Freiberg, Al Goldman Arthur Goldman, George Goldberg, Lou Harmel, J. Kalish, Leon Kreiss, George Rubenstein, Theodore Lazar, Arthur Maisel, M. Rothouse and Edward Stone.
