The Central Council of Jews in Germany has posthumously awarded the annual Leo Baeck Prize to the late Charles H. Jordan, director of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, who mysteriously disappeared in Prague last August and was later found drowned. The prize was presented to Mr. Jordan’s widow with 3,000 marks ($750) which she will donate to Jewish charities.
