Passover is already in the air in the streets of the towns and in every settlement throughout the land. School children, on holiday for the past week, mingle with the colorfully dressed tourists from all parts of the world who have been streaming into the country.
In the last 24 hours EI AI planes have debarked more than 1,100 tourists, 160 from the United States. Flower shops have been doing a rush business. Other shops have had a busy season too, as the improving economic situation is reflected on the consumer level.
A special Passover program has been planned at ZOA House in Tel Aviv where a Seder will be held for tourists and Israelis, including Joseph Serlin, Minister of Health. A “children’s day” has been planned for tourists to meet and play with Israel children. In the evenings famous local artists will participate in special entertainment programs.
