Nazi activities in Chicago for some time now, and particularly since the second "revolt," have been ### quiet, subdued and listless. meetings have been poorly attended and the enthusiasm of six months ago appears to be lacking.
It seems, according to an informed observer, that the bulk of the Germans of Chicago who have allied themselves with Nazi activities are adopting a policy of watchful waiting. They are getting ready to jump on the ### band wagon as soon as it is rolled out in Germany. If the monarchists get control they’ll display monarchistic affiliations; on the other hand, if the militarists are victorious, they’ll appear as strong militarists.
Considerable ill-feeling exists here between Steel Helmet members and the Friends of New Germany.
