A gift of $15,000 by Negroes of Chicago to establish a memorial to Julius Rosenwald in the new $3,000,000 Provident Hospital here has been announced. The money was raised at a jubilee marking the close of the campaign to raise money for the hospital. “There is no better friend of the Negro in America today than Julius Rosenwald,” said A. L. Jackson, president of the Provident Hospital board. “He personally gave $220,000 to the fund, as well as a still larger gift through the Rosenwald Foundation.”
