A Chicago waiter, a non-Jew, has made the State of Israel his beneficiary for a bequest of $40,000, it was revealed here today when the Israel Government reported on contributions it has received from abroad, many from non-Jews.
The government refused to divulge the name of the waiter because he is still alive. The Treasury has been told that he still works two or three days a week so as to earn enough to live on without having to touch the $40,000.
