Chicago’s Jewish Poor Victims of Bank Closing

The poor of the Jewish quarter are the principal sufferers of the closing of the Sixteenth St. State Bank and throngs of them still surround the bank in hope of having their savings restored.

Samuel Maltz, president of the bank, is being held for action by the grand jury. Maltz was a railroad brakeman before he became associated with the bank.
