Israel Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Nissim, who made a four-day visit to Turkey, left today for Israel after visiting Jewish institutions and conferring with Turkish Jewish leaders.
He was guest of honor at a reception given by Israel Consul General Carmon which was attended by Jewish community leaders and Turkish personalities. Turkish Chief Rabbi Asseo also gave a dinner honoring Rabbi Nissim. He visited the Orah Haim Jewish Hospital here and visited several synagogues, including the ancient Ahrida Synagogue, the Neve Shalom Synagogue and the Ashkenazi Synagogue.
