Special Purim services were held here yesterday in the Central Synagogue by Chief Rabbi Joseph Katona. Taking cognizance of the presence of Dr, Joseph Schwartz, European director of the Joint Distribution Committee, in the congregation, Rabbi Batona paid tribute to the J.D.C. and its staff and to the generous assistance of American Jewry.
