Three members of the Chilean Parliament including the chairman of its foreign affairs committee, will visit Israel as guests of the Knesset beginning next Sunday. It will be the first formal visit by high-ranking Chileans since President Salvador Allende, an avowed Marxist, took office. It was announced yesterday that President Allende accepted an invitation from President Zalman Shazar to visit Israel. He is expected to come here in mid-1972. Sunday’s guests will be Carlos Sivori Douberlilide and Jaque and Umerto Egurce. Political circles here said they would be asked to convey to the Chilean government and parliament Israel’s desire to continue friendly relations between the two countries. It was believed that the Chileans would also be informed of Israel’s anxiety over certain political expressions about the Middle East by Chilean leaders since Allende took office. The visitors will be in Israel for a week.
