Chinese President Jiang Zemin is due to visit Israel this spring, according to the Israeli daily Ha’aretz. Jiang is expected to hold talks with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat. Israeli- Chinese defense ties are expected to be high on the agenda, along with Israeli concern over technological and military aid provided by Beijing to Iran.
