An appeal to Polish Jewry to send parcels and money through the Torgsin to their starving brethren in Soviet Russia on the occasion of the high holydays was issued today by the Chofetz Chaim, Rabbi Chaim Grodzenski.

Rabbis and scholars and hundreds of thousands of Jewish declassed are literally without food, states the appeal.

Polish Jews who have no relatives in Russia or do not know their whereabouts are called upon to contribute ten zlotys to a fund for food which the rabbis will be asked to distribute.
