Milton Felstein, eighteen year old graduate of McKinley high school of this city, a Jewish boy, has been selected as the District of Columbia candidate for the Thomas A. Edison scholarship to a technical college in connection with the national competition to be held at the Edison laboratories among candidates in forty-eight states for such a four-year scholarship. The successful candidate will be chosen to carry on the famous inventor’s work after his death. Felstein was chosen by the local Board of Education, announcement being made through Harry O. Hine, secretary of the board and chairman of the scholarship committee.
