Christian Committees formed specifically for the support of the United Jewish Appeal have been organized in more than 200 cities and towns throughout the nation, it was announced today by Henry Morgenthau, Jr., General Chairman. Each day, as the spring phase of the campaign progresses, reports of additional participation by Christians are received, he said.
“Humanity Knows No Creed and Suffering Knows No Race” is the slogan under which the Christian campaigns are operating, JWB offices reported. They said that these drives have enlisted outstanding sponsorship among business, professional, industrial and civic leaders. Clergymen of all denominations are in the forefront of this activity.
