A Christian-Jewish Committee for the rescue of Jewish children and their rehabilitation in Palestine was formed here under the name “Children to Palestine.” The committee is working in cooperation with the national Youth Aliyah commission of the Hadassah.
An appeal to Christians and Jews, for funds issued this week by the committee elicited complete support of the local press which pointed out that the “Children to Palestine” is an excellent common ground for united action of Christians and Jews and constitutes a “vigorous rebuke” to anti-Semitism.
