The “spiritual and mental torture” to which the Jews and “non-Aryan” Christians of Germany are being subjected can scarcely be appreciated by the outside world, Conrad Hoffmann, formerly of the Foreign Department of the Young Men’s Christian Association, said in an interview on his return from a tour of Egypt , Palestine, the Balkans and Germany.
Hoffmann, member of the Committee on a Christian Approach toward the Jews, said that in Nazi Germany physical violence against “non-Aryans” is not affecting victims so much as the “moral subjection under which they are suffering.”
