Israel has made arrangements for some 3,000 men, women and children of various Christian churches to leave Israel by way of the Old City Christmas Day to worship at Holy Places in the Old City and at Bethlehem, it was announced here today. They will be readmitted to Israel the following day.
The Israeli authorities have also made arrangements to facilitate the celebration of Christmas in the Christian Arab center of Nazareth. For that day no passes will be required of Arabs travelling within Israel to Nazareth. At the same time, Jews have been banned from Nazareth so that the churches there will not be crowded during services.
