Christmas Boycott Hits Warsaw Jewish Trade

A pre-Christmas anti-Jewish boycott affected Jewish trade in the central business district of Warsaw, it was revealed today, while Jewish shops in the Nalew quarter were largely patronized by non-Jews.

The authorities have closed the Socialist Union of artisans, controlled by the Bund (Jewish socialist party). Meanwhile, a deputation of the Jewish tradesmen’s union called on trade minister Anthony roman and presented him with 25,000 zlotys collected among the members for defence purposes.

One of the Jews wounded in anti-Semitic disorders accompanying the municipal elections has died. he was 12-year-old hersch pirowicz, who had been injured by being struck by an iron bar.
