Sir Winston Churchill has consented to accept the annual Theodor Herzl Award–a gold medallion–of the Zionist Organization of America following his unanimous selection by the organization as recipient of this year’s award in tribute to his historic accomplishments both as “an architect of the Jewish State and protagonist of Zionism,” it was announced here today by Dr. Max Nussbaum, ZOA president.
In accepting the award, Sir Winston has designated his son Randolph Churchill to come to New York to receive the Herzl Gold Medallion in his behalf. The presentation ceremonies will be held here on December 16. On this occasion Mr. Randolph Churchill will read a personal message from his distinguished father.
