Cincinnati Jewry to Honor Shohl on 80th Birthday

Jesse M. Joseph, Herbert C. Oettinger and Jacob W. Mack are general chairmen for the communal dinner to be tendered Charles Shohl on Oct. 26 in Cincinnati in honor of his 80th birthday. The three men are members of boards of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations of which Mr. Shohl is honorary president. He is also honorary president of the Plum Street Temple and Wise-Rockdale Center, as well as an honorary member of the Board of Governors of the Hebrew Union College.

Mr. Shohl, who is a retired wholesale clothing merchant, was born in Cincinnati and educated in the local schools. Since his retirement from business in 1911 he has devoted his entire time to religious, charitable and educational institutions. He is an honorary member of the Council of Jewish Women and of the Phi Beta Delta Fraternity and a member of the National Boy Scouts Committee.
