Beneficial effects for many Jewish residents in Carpathian Russia are expected from a new government ordinance concerning the requirements of Czechoslovakian citizenship.
The ordinance, which has just become effective, confirms wide facilities upon hundreds of Jewish families, previously without nationality, to acquire Czechoslovakian citizenship, although they are old residents in the district.
The new ordinance will also enable many Jewish war invalids to obtain pensions from the Czechoslovakian government.
