A fact-finding mission of the Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds of the United States met here with leaders of the Brazilian Jewish community to map plans for future collaboration and contacts. The visiting group is headed by Louis J. Fox, president of the CJFWF, and includes Philip Bernstein, executive vice president; Theodore Comet, director of overseas services; Lavy Becker of Montreal; Herman Katz of Columbus, Ohio; Hyman Safran of Detroit; Bernhard Schaenen, of Dallas, and Sanford Treguboff of San Francisco. The group was greeted by Moyses Kauffmann and Benno Milnitzky, Brazilian Jewish community leaders. They were reportedly impressed by the standards of local educational, welfare and recreational institutions maintained by the Jewish community.
