Gordon Clapp, who is terminating his duties as chairman of the United Nations Economic Survey Mission for the Middle East, reported today to President Truman. He said that he submitted his final report to the President.
A discussion was held on the interim report which proposed that the U.N. set up a $54,000,000 program to provide employment for Arab refugees from Israel. Mr. Clapp said the President “showed a great deal of interest” in this report. He added that he expects to conclude talks tomorrow with the State Department.
