The whole of German cultural life, especially the theatre, the film and the radio, must be cleansed to eliminate all non-German elements meaning the Jews, the new Federal Minister of the Interior, Herr von Gayl, said in addressing to-day the Reich#### (Federal Council).

This must be done, he said, because their presence rouses the indignation of the people, and is therefore a disturbing element making for trouble and disorder, and as Minister of the Interior he must see that public order is preserved.

The Minister for the Interior, Herr von Gayl, is also responsible, for a precedent by which the previous rule barring leaders of Parties who do not hold office from delivering political speeches over the radio, has been withdrawn to enable Hitler to deliver an address next Tuesday on the “State ideas of National Socialism”. The Berlin press demands that the new rule should not be confined to Hitler, and that the same privilege should be given to other political leaders.

It is announced to-day that Hitler has decided not to avail himself of the opportunity, and that the address will be delivered instead by the Nazi Deputy Gregor Strasser.
