The Jewish Community Federation board of trustees allocated a total of $6,916,512 for its local, national and overseas beneficiary agencies for the fiscal year beginning July 1,1963, it was announced here today.
This sum is the highest in the 60-year history of the Federation, according to M. E. Glass, president. The recent Jewish Welfare Fund Appeal provided $5,829,216, and the Greater Cleveland United Appeal supplied $1,087,296 through its Community Chest. Vice-President Emil M. Elder is chairman of the Federation’s budget Committee.
