A Jewish Community Council, comprising representatives of 100 senior Jewish organizations, has been formed here for the purpose of unifying all large organizations and establishing a medium for the discussion of major community problems.

Max Simon, whose name has long been linked with Jewish communal activities in Cleveland, was appointed temporary chairman.

The council aspires to include every large senior Jewish organization in the city. Rabbis who attended the opening meeting were Abba Hillel Silver, Barnett R. Brickner, Armond Cohen, Israel Porath, Hugo Klein, I. M. Walden, David Genuth, I. Krislow and Emanuel Eckstein.
