The School of Commerce, where Jewish students were beaten and thrown out of the lecture rooms by anti-Semitic students yesterday, was declared closed for a week. Quiet prevailed at the other Vienna universities.
Compensation to the Jewish students for damages suffered was promised by the authorities. The police are searching for the students who perpetrated the attack, causing injuries to the Jewish students.
Quiet was restored in the universities today. The extra police measures were withdrawn. No disorders occurred.
