Close cultural bonds between Palestine and Transjordania were urged by Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the World Zionist Organization, during his conferences with Emir Abdullah, ruler of Transjordania.
Dr. Weizmann, who was the guest of the Emir at Amman, Transjordania’s capital, invited Arab scholars to come to Palestine to avail themselves of the facilities of the Hebrew University and the other Hebrew cultural institutions. Dr. Weizmann also invited the Emir to visit him in London. This invitation was accepted by the Emir.
