The second anniversary of the closing of the Czech universities and the execution of nine leaders of the Czech student organizations by the Nazis in reprisal for anti-German demonstrations, was marked today at ceremonies in the Hebrew University.
After a two minute period of silence had been observed, manifestos issued by the English, Czech and Jewish students were read to the assembled students and faculty. The students of the university cabled their greetings and encouragement to the Czech student organization in London.
