The Club of Jewish Deputies in the Polish Sejm which originally declared its attitude of friendly neutrality toward the Skrzynski government, will be compelled to proceed to the opposition of the government, declared Dr. Hausner, who spoke on behalf of the Club, during the discussion Saturday on the teachers’ question.

The statement by Deputy Hausner made a great impression in the Sejm. He severely criticized the Minister of Education, Stanislaw Grabski, one of the originators of the Polish Jewish agreement and declared that the numerus clausus system against Jewish students in the Polish universities is still being applied.

“The conditions obtaining now cause a great doubt whether the Club of Jewish Deputies will be able to continue its attitude of friendly neutrality toward the government. Under these conditions the Club will find itself compelled to proceed to a sharp opposition to the government,” he declared when one of the deputies of the Right shouted, “Go to the devil.”
