Zelea Codreanu, murderer of the Jassy chief of police, Monchu, who was arrested in Focsany for threatening to kill the local chief of police, has been released.

Among the 35 students to receive awards of King’s Crowns to students of Columbia College who have won distinction in non-athletic activities outside the classroom, announced by the King’s Crown Board of Governors, were Edward Barok, Abraham B. Lewis, Walter Prenowitz, Edgar Bromberg, Herbert J. Jacobi, David Barnett.

The election of Roy M. Z. Moskowitz, 771 West End Avenue, as editor of Morningside, the college literary magazine, was also announced.

A contract has been made between radio station WFBH, New York, and the Libby Hotel Corporation to broadcast programs in Yiddish.

The programs, to be broadcast regularly on Sunday evening, will be under the direction of Joseph Cherniavsky, formerly cello soloist of the Imperial Opera House at Petrograd.

The opening concert will be on the air from WFBH next Sunday night from 7 to 8 o’clock.
