Dr. Samuel I. Cohen has been appointed executive vice-president of the Jewish National Fund of America, it was announced by Meyer Pesin, president of the JNF. Cohen succeeds Abram Salomon who died Oct. 9, 1976.
Prior to joining the JNF, Cohen, 43, served as executive director of the American Zionist Federation, and before that as director of organization of the American Jewish Congress. His previous affiliations include several years of service with the B’nai B’rith. Involved in Zionist activities since his teens, he was executive director of the Long Island Zionist Youth Commission.
